Now that we've talked about many of the useful features of the ipad we would like to state some of the difficulties and drawbacks we faced.

The hassle of transferring information. We are used to transferring info through a USB or at least a CD. The ipad does not support any of these tools.

In this case your only easy option is transferring info via e-mail.

Another drawback is that the ipad does not support the use of flash. If you encounter a website that heavily relies on flash you will not be able to browse the site correctly.

The CEO of Apple Steve Jobs was asked for his thoughts on flash, he replied saying that "Flash was created during the PC era – for PCs and mice. Flash is a successful business for Adobe, and we can understand why they want to push it beyond PCs. But the mobile era is about low power devices, touch interfaces and open web standards – all areas where Flash falls short.

The avalanche of media outlets offering their content for Apple’s mobile devices demonstrates that Flash is no longer necessary to watch video or consume any kind of web content. And the 200,000 apps on Apple’s App Store proves that Flash isn’t necessary for tens of thousands of developers to create graphically rich applications, including games.

New open standards created in the mobile era, such as HTML5, will win on mobile devices (and PCs too). Perhaps Adobe should focus more on creating great HTML5 tools for the future, and less on criticizing Apple for leaving the past behind."

The ipad doesn't support multi-tasking which is the process of using more than one application at a time, however it will fully support it when the new update is available in the not too distant future.

This update has already been released for the iphone and is downloadable through itunes.

The ipad is available in 3 different sizes (memory-wise) 16, 32, and 64 GBs these are all built in. If you want a devise with a lot of space then you have to buy it, you can't enlarge the memory space yourself, apple have monopolized that too. Why?? The goal is profit!

If there was a possibility to increase the memory capacity by adding a segment to the device that would be much easier for us (the consumer), but not so much for apple (the manufacturer).

The ipad's screen will not be clearly visible under direct sunlight.

Many important applications cannot be obtained unless purchased from the app store referred to earlier.

In Kuwait big companies like iCity have deals in which they provide you with many different essential apps if you purchase the ipad from them.

Alerts and things to watch out for when buying.

The device depends on two main things, if it is 3g compatible or not.

The 3g device is much more expensive than the device that doesn't offer the 3g system.

All of the 3g devices have WiFi but not vice versa. The WiFi only devices are much cheaper.

We've bought and used both the 3g and the WiFi only ipads extensively and from our personal point of view we recommend getting the 3g ipad. Note that 3g only works if you buy a micro-sim and have a subscription with your respective phone service provider (Zain, Viva, etc)
